Performing Arts

Founded and directed by Molly Heller, Heartland brings together artists in dance, visual art and music to reimagine the company model, with leadership passed around rather than held at the top. Its themed evenings favor small, non-traditional venues: a curated performance merges into an open dance party, and the audience chooses where to stand and when to join in. Florian contributes choreography, performance, marketing and graphic design.

Curbside began during the 2020 shutdown, when SB Dance founder Stephen Brown strapped a stage to a utility trailer so live shows could keep happening outdoors. It now tours parks, plazas and yards, blending dance, theater, music and circus into programs for kids and adults that ask for no arts background. Florian performs with the company.
